Advanced Chess Thinking: Strategy, Analysis, and Competitive Play

A deeper chess strategy course for middle school students ready to analyze games, build plans, and strengthen competitive decision-making. Advanced Chess Thinking is designed for middle school students who already understand the rules and want to improve their strategy, tactics, planning, and game analysis. Students learn how to evaluate positions, build plans, calculate variations, manage time, review mistakes, and prepare for stronger games. This course also supports broader skills: patience, resilience, decision-making, focus, accountability, and learning from losses.

  • Pre-Requisites

    Students should know legal moves, check and checkmate, basic tactics, and how to complete a game. Basic chess notation is helpful but not required.
